Sat. Oct 8th is our popcorn/cookie dough group sale.  This was a big success last year.

The boys who did it sold a good amount of cookie dough, almost every house they went to bought some.

The only complaint I received from the boys is that the selling time was too short, they wanted to go to more houses and sell longer!  If you want to earn money for the Sea Base trip then you probably have to sell to more people than just your neighbors and family.  The "Group Sale" is the way to do it!  I need both Scouts and parents to help, sign up at the meeting this week or reply to my e-mail address below. 

• Sat. Oct 8th
• Meet at 12:00 noon at the Legion
• Wear your class A or at least your class B uniform
• 2 boys will go together with a parent who will drive and stay with them  (need 1 parent volunteer for every 2 boys)
• 3:30 we meet back at the legion for ICE CREAM SUNDAE'S! :o)
• 4:00  clean-up and leave 

All troop equipment from this weekend's campout needs to be returned this week.  Please make sure it is cleaned and ready to be stored away in the shed.

The first troop meeting of the new scouting year is this Thursday (September 1st)!  Come hear about all the great activities lined up for the year.  Scouts should rememeber to bring their handbook so that summer camp advancement can be recorded.  See you on Thursday!

Sign-ups for September's deep sea fishing trip are due at the first troop meeting (September 1st).  The sign-up sheet can be found here.  Please print the sign-up sheet and turn it in at the beginning of the troop meeting.  Please Note: The permission slip states that scouts need to have passed the BSA swim test.  After further review of BSA policy we have determined that since the fishing vessal is a larger commercial boat that the swim test is not a requirement for participating.

If you still have troop equipment from any of the recent trips please plan on returning it tonight (Thursday 6/23) to the Legion.  Please bring it by at 6:45.
