A reminder that there will frequently be time for scouts to work on rank requirements at troop meetings.  In order to get requirements signed off they must have their Scout handbooks with them.

Next Thursday is Veteran's day and there is need for Scouts to help with Westford's ceremony.  There is opportunity for 4 scouts to carry and present flags during the ceremony.  Additional scouts can participate in the parade and representing the troop at the ceremony.  This is a great way for the troop to express our respect and thanks to our veterans in general and specifically to the Legion members from our chartering organization.

Just a reminder that the Webelos fall invitational is scheduled for Sunday afternoon November 14th.  This event kicks off our yearly recruiting program and is important for the troop.  We need scouts to attend to run the event and adult leaders to be available to answer questions from perspective scout parents.

The troop committee has put together a budget showing what expenses the troop incurs during the scout year along with how those expenses are paid through dues and fundraising.  The budget is available at 2010 - 2011 Troop Budget.  If you have any questions about the budget please contact the Scoutmaster or Treasurer.

Due to limitations in availability of the accommodations for the New York city trip we have had to move the trip one week earlier.  It is now scheduled for November 5th, 6th, and 7th.  Information and permission slips will be distributed at the October 14th troop meeting.
