Are you an Arrow of Light scout looking for a Scout Troop to cross over to? or maybe you are new to Scouting and want a great Troop to join?

Either way, Troop 437 welcomes all youth to come and experience the adventure of scouting! Visit one of our meetings to experience what Scouting is all about and what makes Troop 437 a great Scout Troop.

We meet every Thursday evening when school is in session. Meetings start at 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post 437 at 114 Dunstable Road. We wil be making signs for the Bike and Sproting Goods sale at this week's troop meeting. Scouts should bring 2 pieces of cardboard that are 12" x 37" plus any materials that they signed up to bring to the meeting.

Summer Camp sign-ups and deposits due this week

Summer camp at Wah-Tut-Ca is quickly approaching! Troop Week is Sunday, July 29 through Friday, August 3. The BSA Council provides an Early Bird discount cost of $335, otherwise the cost is $385. The Early Bird fee is available by submitting your signup and $50 deposit to the Troop by Thursday March 22. Please make checks payable to “Troop 437”. The remaining $285 is due by Thursday, April 26. Crossover Scouts only pay the $335 Early Bird payment by Thursday, April 26. All scouts and all adults staying overnight or using the aterfront must complete a medical form. Please sumit the medical form the the troop by June 7th.

Seabase Update - Tall Ship sailing in the Florida Keys - two spots available

Great News! The troop has received the results of the 2013 SeaBase lottery and we now know the time and type of adventure we will be going on. We will be crewing a tall ship in the Florida Keys! The trip is called the Sea Exploring Adventure (click link for more details) and our adventure dates are 7/3/2013 - 7/10/2013. We have 18 participants signed up and deposits have been sent to Seabase to secure the reservation. The next payment, estimated to be $350, will be due in early September.

Due to the nature of the adventure we will be going on we have room for 2 more participants! If you want to attend but missed out during the earlier sign-ups please contact the Scoutmaster. Current scouts will be given priority but troop alumni and parents will also be considers to fill these spots. Participants must be 14 at the time of the trip. March Ski Trip sign-ups due this week

The March outing is a ski trip to Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. Information about the outing and the sign-up/permission slip can be found here. Please print and return the permission slip to this week's troop meeting (3/8).

Merit Badge College - Day 1 coming up on March 10th - Please to remember to get your Blue Cards signed

If you are participating in Merit Badge College on March 10th and 24th please remember that you need to get your Blue Cards signed by the Scoutmaster prior to the March 10th session.
